Quarterly Contact Team Training

The next Quarterly Contact Team training is in two weeks!
Tuesday, February 21
6:00 – 7:30pm
OTC 3rd Floor training room.
505 Barton Springs (Barton Springs & South 1st.)

The training will cover the new Local Area Traffic Management program.
The City of Austin is proposing a change to its traffic calming program. The new program is called Local Area Traffic Management (LATM).  Initially this new program will provide a process for mitigating excessive speeding on neighborhood streets.  Eventually the program will include methodologies for dealing with cut-through traffic and the removal of existing traffic control devices.
The guidelines and procedures for LATM were presented to the Urban Transportation Commission (UTC) on November 8th.  The LATM PowerPoint presentation from that meeting as well as the proposed guidelines and procedures are available on the UTC website.  The guidelines and procedures can be found at:  http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/edims/document.cfm?id=160679
Light refreshments will be provided.  RSVP not required but please arrive promptly as we will begin and end at the scheduled time.
