CNPCT BiMonthly Meeting - 12.16.13 - 6:30PM - Crestview Methodist

December’s Neighborhood Planning Contact Team Meeting: 

Proposed Redevelopment at Justin Lane and Hardy Drive 

A developer is proposing to build an office complex at the 1.9 acre site where Austin Korean Presbyterian Church resided at 2000 Justin Lane, at the corner of Hardy Dr on up to Cullen Ave. The church will continue to use this location until their new church in Pflugerville is completed in late 2014. The developer’s representative, Ron Thrower, will be presenting more information and requesting support at the next Crestview Neighborhood Planning Contact Team Meeting, which will occur Monday December, 16th, 2013, at 6:30 pm at Crestview United Methodist Church, located at 1300 Morrow St. 

The first step in the process is for the applicant to request a change to the Crestview Neighborhood Plan's Future Land Use Map (FLUM), followed by rezoning the site. The FLUM currently shows the site to be used as Civic and Multi-family; the requested change would reflect an Office use, or Mixed Use/Office. The developer will also request a zoning change prior to site plan permitting. The site’s current zoning is LO-NP (Limited Office – Neighborhood Plan), SF-3-NP (Single Family), and MF-3-NP (Multi-family). The proposed zoning for the site is GO (General Office); GO zoning allows for offices and selected commercial uses predominately serving community or city wide needs, such as medical or professional offices. 

The proposed FLUM change was discussed at the October 21st meeting. The developer will be available for questions and is requesting our support at the next Crestview Neighborhood Planning Contact Team meeting. We hope to see you Monday December 16th in order to participate in this conversation.
